Immigrant Hall of Honor launches new monthly newsletter, E Pluribus Unum
The Immigrant Hall of Honor is proud to announce the launch of E Pluribus Unum, a monthly newsletter featuring organizational news, immigration stories from our growing community, and noteworthy news about immigrants and immigration from around the country.
The newsletter takes its name from a phrase found in the notes of late co-founder Sara Laas. She envisioned E Pluribus Unum—Latin for “Out of Many, One”—as the subtitle for what she called her “Monument to American Migration,” the project that eventually became the Immigrant Hall of Honor.
The inaugural issue includes:
- A welcome from co-founder Philip Ochoa.
- An update on the first class of Immigrant Hall of Honor inductees.
- An invitation to share your family’s immigration story.
- Recommended reading on immigrants and their contributions to sports and American culture.
